Chrome OS Subscriptions: (Possibly) A Step Forward | PCWorld
Image via WikipediaThis is something that I've commented on before in the many forums that I post to: I can totally see the hardware supporting ChromeOS being sold as a subscription supported platform. You get reduced prices on phone hardware by signing a one or two year agreement, it's not much of a stretch to imagine that you can do the same with a netbook running the Chrome operating system.
